Lincoln's Gettysburg Address

149 years ago.....

My son says there are almost no towns, roads, bridges or schools named for Abraham Lincoln below the Mason-Dixon Line even though he is always listed as #1,2 or 3 on every ''favorite president' list.  But there are many, many named for Lee or Davis in the south.  The south may not rise again but it surely won't forget.

He delivered the speech in this cemetery.

When I was in high school I memorized the Gettysburg Address and was surprised to find that I remembered it with just a little prompting.  I will use this in the future as a mantra to see of 'Oldtimer's Disease' is setting in.
