Henry Ford Winter home

Henry Ford bought the small home next door to Edison and they wintered together in Florida for many years.

The many Banyan trees and rubber trees planted throughout the two properties were due to Edison's desire to find a cheaper/better source of rubber for Ford's car tires.

The Ford home was much like the Edison home--though smaller.

Another kitchen--note the very modern refrigerator on the right above.

This is one of the maid's rooms.  Once again the view of the grounds and the river make it a 5 star property.

A turn-of-the-century toilet.  It looks like 100+ years hasn't done much to change this fixture.

Everything felt very comfortable and 'homey'.

The trees here have 'another world' feel to them.

The Ford's two-car garage.
