The many Banyan trees and rubber trees planted throughout the two properties were due to Edison's desire to find a cheaper/better source of rubber for Ford's car tires.
The Ford home was much like the Edison home--though smaller.
Another kitchen--note the very modern refrigerator on the right above.
This is one of the maid's rooms. Once again the view of the grounds and the river make it a 5 star property.
A turn-of-the-century toilet. It looks like 100+ years hasn't done much to change this fixture.
Everything felt very comfortable and 'homey'.
The trees here have 'another world' feel to them.
