Okay, I lied again. There are too many especially good, and really fun restaurants in San Diego to stop dining out just yet. Behold, the Lucha Libre Gourmet Taco Shop!
When we arrived I saw that it was a small hole-in-the-wall, order-at-the-counter restaurant, but there was a line out the door and a thirty minute wait for a table--clearly a good sign.
And, the fish tacos were especially good--and really cheap but the decor was worth the wait. Autographed photos of Mexican wrestling stars filled every wall.
You could almost hear the grunting and groaning and the thwap against the mat....
I loved the 'Andy Warhol' treatment of this photo.

And when you finished eating you could deposit your trash into this very imaginative trash can fashioned from an old TV console.
And speaking of imaginative decor....
And speaking of imaginative decor....
Ron's apartment is a nice, standard, two-bedroom unit but his patio is the 'TV room'. Only in San Diego can you do this. In Tucson it would be too hot and anywhere else it would be too wet or too cold.
